ONDCP/Faces & Voices Recovery Roundtable

Faces & Voices was pleased to partner with the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to host a discussion of Peer Recovery Support Services: Recovery Management in Healthcare on July 1, 2010. We will be releasing a White Paper based on the lively and thoughtful discussion and thank the following organizations for sharing information about their successful peer recovery support services: Association of Persons Affected by Addiction (APAA), Dallas TX; Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR), Hartford, CT; El Paso Alliance, El Paso, TX; and PRO-ACT, Philadelphia, PA.

“This effort goes beyond helping addicted people stop using illicit drugs and alcohol. Millions of Americans are already in recovery from substance abuse, and are now healthy, responsible and productive members of their communities,” said ONDCP Director Gil Kerlikowske, speaking at the Roundtable. “Today’s meeting brings our Nation one step closer to expanding the hope of recovery to millions more.” Learn more about the first-ever ONDCP/Faces & Voices Recovery Roundtable including the agenda, background materials and presentation here.
