Our Stories
Vicki Horseman
I am a 41 year old woman and single parent who began using drugs and alcohol around the age of 10. I slept under bridges, traveled with the carnival, and did every drug possible. At the age of 20 I ended up in prison for four years where I started going to college. I eventually obtained a masters degree in social work however am not allowed to practice due to questionable moral character. I am in the process of reapplying for licensure but who knows. I believe very strongly in advocating for recovering persons and just love to raise hell. I have spoke in DC several years ago during national recovery month at the national press club and done interviews for lifetime tv’s online network, would love to do more. I have two children who were saved because we were given the opportunity to recover.
